Welcome
More than home plans – this is residential architecture. Available here are sophisticated home designs, incorporating contemporary and period design influences that produce elegant living experiences that are truly architectural. For the discriminating contemporary homeowner who chooses quality over mass production, these modern home designs are presented as an alternative to the typical mass produced urban home. By applying established and successful architectural practices and techniques to residential design, the work produced here is timeless and encompasses the inherent design characteristics of traditional and modern elements of design to create well refined and sculptural living spaces.
The modern home designs available here have been created with practical and applicable knowledge and skills acquired through 15 years experience as a licensed architect specializing in residential design. Working and gaining expertise in a design-build environment, these designs are creative yet build-able in a real world.
These contemporary home designs are creative and designed and documented to be build-able by licensed skilled trades people from clear understandable drawings and documents that communicate the message and design intent. Most architects – myself included – provide a service rather than a product. The established phases of design that are experienced when working on a design project with an architect, are time tested and result in a process that produces a quality designed and constructed product. This is truly a well established and proven successful process for creativity and successful project delivery and I still practice it regularly.
The home plans are explorations in modern residential plan book design. Plan book designs greatly influence the built environment of our neighborhoods however the quality of the designs has not adapted parallel to our modern world. Hopefully these stock plans will provide an improvement in design quality to the multitude of suburbia oriented stock plans that most builders have been recycling in areas of urban sprawl for the past 50 years.
